Dr. Rohit Pankhaniya, or Dr. P as his patients call him, is a nephrologist that specializes in a wide spectrum of kidney diseases. Dr. P treats every patient like a member of the family.

Dr. P received his undergraduate degree at Sardar Patel University Hospital in Karamsad, India. Before joining the Florida Kidney Physicians team, Dr. P worked at multiple clinics, including Coastal Nephrology Associates, Kidney Disease & Hypertension Center, and Southwest Kidney Institute. He’s gained experience in various offices across the country, working in states such as Arizona, Michigan, and Georgia.
Castle Connolly Medical LTD has selected him for the “Top Doctors Award” seven years in a row now, and in 2015 he was elected the Chair for the Medical Executive Committee at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte.
Dr. P is exceptionally active in the community and is a member of multiple organizations, including the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Renal Physician Association. He also works to inspire future doctors as a LECOM professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL.
When not at the office, Dr. P enjoys reading, meditating, spending time with his family, and taking long walks in nature.
