Clinical Interests
Dr. Valenzuela is Board Certified in Nephrology. He was born in Santiago, Chile and raised in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn.
He received his medical education at the University of Chile School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency programs at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After completing a year of being Chief Resident, he completed his fellowship in Nephrology at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his fellowship, Dr. Valenzuela published numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals.

Present and Past Positions
Dr. Valenzuela is an active member of the medical staff at Delray Medical Center, Bethesda Memorial Hospital, JFK Medical Center, Wellington Regional Medical Center, Palms West Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital. He previously served as Chief of Medicine at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.

Education
He held an academic appointment as a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at both Florida Atlantic University, and Florida Atlantic University Schmidt College of Medicine. He also is a teaching physician at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Regional Campus Internal Medicine Residency Program at JFK Medical Center.
