Present and Past Positions
Dr. Baliga is the founding and current Executive President of Florida Kidney Physicians. He is the Medical Director of the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant program at Tampa General Hospital. He holds faculty appointment as a Collaborative Associate Professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He established the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program at TGH/USF in 2007 and served as the Program Director of fellowship program till 2016. He serves as the Medical Director of the DaVita Kennedy Dialysis Unit in Tampa.

He has published articles in well-known medical journals including the American Journal of Transplantation, Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, Clinical Transplantation, American Journal of Medical Sciences and in Transplantation.
Clinical Interests
His practice spans the entire spectrum of Nephrology, from difficult to control hypertension, to Acute and Chronic Kidney Disease, peritoneal & hemodialysis, and Kidney & Pancreas Transplantation. He is passionate about keeping the patient in the center the decision-making process of their care with comprehensive CKD management, home dialysis therapies, promoting and improving access to transplantation and helping reduce disparities in patient care.
