Clinical Interests
He is originally from India and received his undergraduate and graduate training from locally well respected institutes in the State of Gujarat, India. He is very proud of getting very thorough and extensive training at his medical school in India, which helped him to create a more solid foundation for higher education in USA. His goal to specialize in Nephrology was not just an “out-of-the-blue” decision, but rather an aspiration he developed after diverse experiences, educational opportunities and a desire to stay true to his inherit nature.
He loves practicing nephrology and helps patients understand various aspects of their many complex kidney and other related medical problems. His patients love him as he spends time to help them and their families understand the basics of their illness as he firmly believes without a patients understanding and participation, no one can help improve/maintain ones health.
Publications
Due to his tremendous interest, Dr. Kapupara was actively involved in many research projects during his residency period. He had many publications and opportunities to do poster and oral presentations of his work at various local and national conferences.
Teaching
Dr. Kapupara loves to teach and mentor future physicians, and he is also very proud to be part of the teaching facility as Faculty member at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and FAU Florida Atlantic University, Charles E. Schmidt college of medicine.
Present and Past Positions
In 2017, Dr. Kapupara was elected for the Physician Leadership Academy (PLA) Course by the Palm Beach County Medical Society. PLA helped him maximize his potential of leadership to create a personal and organizational transformation that benefits patient outcomes and improves health care. After he graduated from the PLA course, he became a member of the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach County Medical Society (PBCMS). He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Bethesda Hospital.
He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American College of Physicians (ACP).
