Shawna Lord, MS, APRN, FNP-BC received her undergraduate degree at South University and her Master of Science Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Florida, both in Tampa, Florida. She completed clinical practicums in primary care, pediatric inpatient rehab, pulmonary transplant, and emergency department care. She has also amassed extensive experience in intensive care, working in each ICU and ER at Tampa General Hospital. NP Lord currently serves as an American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor, is board certified in family practice, and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
NP Lord role with Florida Kidney Physicians includes inpatient management of acute renal diseases, electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, end stage renal disease, and inpatient and community hemodialysis. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to every patient she serves. This includes a personalized, compassionate approach to your medical care as well as providing the education and preventive tools necessary to improve your health and wellbeing.
